Videon Cable Internet Services Manager 2000-2001

  • Built from scratch a service provider class highly available and scaleable Internet Data Centre with operational support processes.

  • Repatriated Videon's client from @Home offering better security, performance and reliability.

MBnet General Manager 1995-1999

  • Provided wholesale Internet access, accounting for more than one-half of transit traffic in Manitoba.
  • Created and marketed services that were first to the Manitoba market utilizing dial-up, ISDN, frame-relay, T1, T3, ATM, 10/100/1000mbps Ethernet circuits, VLANs and BGP routing.
  • Strategically partnered with Videon Fiberlink to develop a revolutionary new model for selling fiber-based Internet services to businesses.
  • Provided backend ISP services to Videon for the first cable modems in Manitoba.
  • Approved all domain registrations in Manitoba (.mb.ca and .ca) before CIRA.
  • Assigned all IPv4 addresses in Manitoba, before ARIN.
  • Promoted and helped several ISPs get started.
